Alaska’s Marijuana Prices Remain Some of Highest in Country

Supply is nearly keeping up with demand in Alaska’s recreational marijuana market, but wholesale prices aren’t coming own just yet. While prices have dropped a little, they remain above average nationally. According to Kasilof’s Greatland Ganja, wholesale prices per pound are averaging between $2,500 and $3,800.

Trim sells for between $650 and $1,000 per pound, according to Your Alaska Link. Co-owner of Kasilof’s Greatland Ganja, Lief Abel, says that the market in the area is saturated. Consumers hope that the steady supply will help prices per gram drop in the near future.

Demand remains high in the state. A lot of retail shops don’t sell recreational marijuana in bulk, which helps maintain supply.
