Anchorage Hosting Marijuana Industry Event in May

Marijuana Event

Anchorage will host the NW Cannabis Classic on May 14th and 15th. The event will showcase growers and producers in hopes of them gaining recognition nationwide. More than 30 growers are expected to showcase over 50 strains of marijuana.

The NW Cannabis Classic is the only competition solely dedicated to growers and producers in Alaska, according to NWCannabisClassic.com. Winners of each category have sole bragging rights within their state.

Event coordinators expect it to be a large and popular event. The Classic will also display products that will be introduced to Alaska marijuana users throughout the course of the year. Coordinators claim that Alaska has unique strains and products that the public is waiting to hear more about. It is creating a buzz in the marijuana use community.

Educated growers will help event attendees select the right strains for their needs and effects preferences. Those that are experienced connoisseurs or new to marijuana are urged to discuss their needs with various growers to find the right strains for them.

The Cannabis Classic will have live music, competitions, vendors and awards. Attendees will be able to taste the strains and products during the event. Seminars will also be available to educate those working in the industry and the general public.
